Questions about fans, lighting & electrical
Can you put a ceiling fan where there's only a light now?
Usually, yes. If the existing box isn't fan-rated, it gets replaced with one, or a brace goes in between the joists.
Can you install a fan or light fixture I already bought?
Yes. Customer-supplied fans, light fixtures and smart switches are fine. Have them on site, and for high ceilings let us know the height so we bring the right downrod and ladder.
